Named after the large foresail in sailing, Genua is teamspace's new UI: faster, more intuitive, more flexible than ever.
Setting sail for a new chapter
Genua takes its name from the large foresail that drives a boat forward in light to moderate winds — popular in races. teamspace’s new UI by the same name is faster, more intuitive and more flexible than before. Proven functions remain; new, well-considered elements add real value. Existing customers can keep working as they’re used to and adopt the modernised concepts without a steep learning curve.
More overview in lists
New selection and detail lists
Lists in teamspace have always been flexible — heavy filtering, columns, default settings and bookmarks. To keep the overview sharp, every list now switches between a compact selection list (focused on essentials, ideal on mobile, left sidebar collapsed by default) and a richer detail list with additional columns — perfect when you need more info at a glance.
Edit list entries directly
A small pencil icon top-right of every editable cell opens it for editing — no detour into the detail manager. Hold ALT and click for an even faster jump into edit mode. Permissions still apply.
Add columns and group
Click a column header to remove it or insert another to the left/right from a list of predefined fields. Split lists by the value of a column for more overview.
New: group by value. Group customers by company size (1–19, 20–100, >100), and the list shows totals (revenue, project hours, etc.) per group at the top — small statistics directly in the list.
Improved dialogues and detail managers
Smart creation dialogues
Many dialogues follow a wizard principle: fill data step by step, in clear sections — general info, then contact, then commercial info. Tickets benefit too: fill required fields top to bottom rather than jumping between sections.
Multitasking with detail managers
Multiple detail managers can be open at once, stacked. Genua adds a stack view: click the frame of a background detail manager to display all open ones side by side, like a dashboard. Close them selectively or bring one to the top.
The new project detail manager
The project detail manager combines structure and detail tabs into thematic groups reachable via dropdowns. The project tree stays visible on the left across tabs. Click any sub-project or work package; the right side updates with master data, framework data or booked times. Easy to switch elements and edit several master data sets in succession. Hide and show the tree as you like.

Try it in the sandbox
For customers, Genua ships with the autumn 2025 release. From 1 July 2025 you can test it in a sandbox — sign up at help.teamspace.de/sandbox with your email and a template (office or enterprise; both ship with Genua and demo data). Access credentials arrive by email; sandboxes are wiped at the end of the calendar week.
