Our Christmas release 2025 is here

Strong new features across billing, time tracking, UI, controlling and automation. Everything you need for your daily work — faster, clearer, more intuitive.

1 Billing topics

1.1 Subtotals, surcharges and ancillary costs

Many bills require percentage surcharges or discounts on a specific subtotal. teamspace’s percentage items handle this — but they need a clearly defined base. The new subtotal items, generated from any positions or whole sections, can now serve as that base. This lets even complex order structures be modelled and billed precisely — fully or in instalment invoices.

1.2 Cumulative invoices and security retentions

A new invoice type is available: the cumulative invoice. Unlike standard invoices it always shows the total amount accrued to date; follow-up invoices automatically take previously issued invoices into account. Ideal for large projects and construction work.

In addition, security retentions are supported in two flavours:

  • Retentions for the process
  • Retentions for warranty

Both types can be combined.

1.3 HOAI wizard for fee-schedule billing

The HOAI calculator has been extended substantially. Beyond the service phases you can now factor in:

  • Percentage surcharges
  • Ancillary costs on the total amount

HOAI billing becomes much more convenient and requires fewer manual recalculations.

1.4 Price adjustments via price lists

Annual price updates can be rolled out quickly and reliably via teamspace price lists — including time-based duration positions when the calculation basis is set to “remaining duration with current price”. A new filter lets you select specific position types when enforcing the list — for example, exempt fixed-price items while updating time- and effort-based ones.

2 New features in time tracking

2.1 The new Quicktimer

The new Quicktimer in the sidebar makes booking time as easy as it gets. One click — the current activity starts. Ideal for quick tasks or spontaneous work.

2.2 Book time from the detail manager

Whether project, task or ticket: time can now be booked directly from the relevant detail manager. No more context switches, and flows are noticeably faster.

2.3 Time entries in draft

The new draft mode lets a work day be collected first and finalised later.

  • Flexible pre-planning
  • Drafts can be adjusted any time
  • Especially helpful for users with many small activities per day

2.4 Weekly limit

Next to the daily limit you can now define a weekly limit, which helps companies comply with statutory or internal working-time rules.

3 The Genua UI — feedback

We gathered intensive feedback from customer conversations, training sessions, tickets and live analyses. Many suggestions were taken on board and integrated directly. The most important findings:

3.1 Filters and lists

Filter areas and lists were reworked extensively. Feedback is largely positive:

  • List columns are easy to adjust
  • Filters are tidier and faster
  • Operation is noticeably more intuitive

Tip 1: Use the expand/collapse control top-left in the filter area for more overview. Set values remain visible.

Tip 2: Use the integrated search in the filter area to jump directly to a specific field.

Tip 3: Use the data clipboard (“remember items”). Results from one list can serve as filter values in another list.

3.2 Multi-select

Multi-select was redesigned. Two modes are available:

  • Click options and press OK to confirm
  • Selected immediately on click, hold Shift for multi-select

3.3 Display size

Personal settings let every user choose color, date format, currency and now also font size: compact, standard, airy.

Tip: Open personal settings once from the sidebar and tune everything to taste — daily work in teamspace gets much more pleasant.

3.4 Dialogues and input fields

All dialogues were restructured into meaningful sections. Long-time users may need a short adjustment phase since some fields moved, but most appreciate the clearer, tidier, more intuitive structure — especially in rarely used dialogues.

A major step in the new navigation concept: the sidebar takes over the previous footer’s responsibilities.

  • Consistent navigation
  • Central access to functions
  • More room for content
  • Modern UI aesthetics

4 Controlling & reports

4.1 HR data: read-only access for user groups

Many HR-related fields can now be released read-only on a field level for specific user groups — without edit rights. Before, only entire blocks (e.g. personal data, payroll data) could be released. Transparency without losing data sovereignty.

5 Automation

5.1 Adopt planned travel costs more easily

In many companies travel must be requested and approved before the trip. Sometimes flights or hotels are then booked by an internal travel agency. teamspace covers both flows.

New: planned travel costs can now be adopted into a travel expense report with a few clicks.

  • Less manual work
  • Fewer mistakes
  • Faster process
