Next steps for your documents
Documents often trigger recurring follow-up steps. The 'Next steps' module ties such workflows directly to your document processes — without manual effort.
Automate tasks directly with the document
A quote needs follow-up after dispatch. An order triggers internal tasks. An invoice can spawn a customer survey. The Next steps module integrates these workflows directly into your document processes. When a document of a given type is created or validated, the system creates the follow-up tasks automatically — saving time, reducing errors and standardising flows.
Automatically request customer feedback
Want to ask for customer feedback when sending an invoice? Create a ticket template and link it to a Next-step template in configuration. When an invoice is validated, the system creates a new ticket from the template. No manual creation or separate emails. A follow-up due date can be configured up front.
Trigger internal follow-ups automatically
You want to send a brochure to new prospects after the quote goes out. Add a Next step of type “Open item” to the quote template, optionally with a responsible person and a short description. When you finalise a quote, a to-do is created automatically.
Another case: every new order requires a permit application before work begins. Add a Next-step template with the matching to-do — the team can’t miss the step, and once filed, it’s marked as done. Add a second step for the actual approval to keep documentation complete.
See and complete next steps
The document gets a dedicated tab for Next steps — pending and already created. You can confirm that everything is being generated automatically, trigger items manually if needed, and check which open items are already done.
