The new Outlook add-in: more than just an update

The Microsoft Outlook add-in has been updated — now released as teamspace. Existing functions improved, new functions added.

New and improved

The Outlook add-in has been updated and rebranded as teamspace. Existing tickets carry over — no loss.

Upgrading from the projectfacts add-in

The teamspace add-in works with both projectfacts and teamspace host systems. Microsoft is sunsetting parts of the projectfacts add-in, so switching is necessary:

  1. Sign out of the projectfacts add-in twice (“Sign out” in the settings dialog) to clear stored user data.
  2. Remove the projectfacts add-in and add the teamspace add-in via AppSource.
  3. Sign in to the teamspace add-in with your teamspace or projectfacts credentials, or with a device password (required with 2FA active).

Tickets imported via the previous add-in remain accessible in the new one.

Improved ticket dialogs

The ticket settings dialog provides clearer hints to prevent errors during ticket creation. Signing out removes the corresponding device from your environment. The add-in also runs in shared mailboxes with the right requirement set. Visual design refreshed.

Bug fixes

  • Clicking the ticket tile returns you to the ticket while a valid session is active
  • Larger attachments supported
  • Disabled ticket channels hidden
  • The ticket tile shows the ticket’s responsible

Requirements

Minimum host version 2024.4.36 (see the info “i” in the sidebar) and API requirement set 1.5 on the mailbox. Shared folders need 1.8; shared mailboxes need 1.13.
