The duty applies at home too.
With its ruling of 13 September 2022 (1 ABR 22/21), the German Federal Labour Court (BAG) made clear that the duty to record working time applies regardless of work location. It follows the ECJ ruling of 14 May 2019 (C-55/18) on recording working time. Anyone offering home office must reliably record start, end and breaks there too.

Breaks
The system deducts breaks itself.

Yes. The duty to record working time applies regardless of work location. Does the app work if the internet connection in the home office drops?
No. teamspace is a cloud application and requires an active connection. Local buffering of entries is not provided. In practice, brief connection drops in the home office are rarely long enough to prevent clocking in.
